MARGAO: Rosman Cruz Nagoa Verna prevailed over CAC Cansaulim 4-3 via tiebreaker to move into the finals of Late Musa Ali Aga football tournament organised by Eagle SC at Sankhali Municipal ground on Thursday. Rossaman Cruz suffered a jolt in the 10th minute when Vijal Rego was ejected by the referee for committing a serious foul on a Cansualim player. At the other end, CAC Cansualim could not benefit from the numerical advantage as their forwards ran out ideas after reaching the rival box. Crossing over, Rossman Cruz nearly broke the deadlock but Savio Fernandes spurned an easy chance with only the rival goalkeeper to beat in the 48th minute. With the time running out, CAC Cansualim had a golden chance but Veegan Ferrao muffed a gilt-edged chance. In the tiebreaker, Savio Fernandes, Noel D’Silva, Bentin Barretto and Eusebio Fernandes found the mark for Rossman Cruz while Chadavick Futardo, Veegan Ferrao and Jude Fernandes were on target for CAC Cansualim.
