Assumpta Trophy football starts today

St Rock's Youth Club, Calata-Majorda will face Navelim Villagers Union in the opening match of Our Lady of Assumpta Trophy inter village football tournament organized by Sarzora Sports Club at SAG Ground, Sarzora, on Saturday.

Rs 30,000 and Rs 2000 will be awarded to winners and runners-up respectively. Betalbatim Sporting Club, CAC Cansualim, Cuncolim Union, Pax of Nagoa Sports Club, Dicarpale Sports Club, Goa Velha Sports Club, Sao Miguel de Taleigao, Margao Sports Club, United Club of Benaulim, Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club, Chandor Club, Immaculate Conception Sports Club (Paroda) and hosts Sarzora Sports Club are the other teams vying for the top honours.

MARGAORossman Cruz Nagoa Sports Club prevailed over CAC, Cansaulim 8-6 via tiebreaker to storm into the semi-finals of All Goa 4th Shooting Stars Cup inter village football tournament, organized by Margao Sports Club in association with Shooting Stars Sports Club, Colleavaddo-Assolna, at Ambelim ground on Friday.
