Augustias Sports Club stunned their opponents Calangute Association Sports Club 15-14 via sudden death to advance into the quarter-finals of Milagres Soccer Cup 2018, organised by Milagres Sports Club at Duler stadium, here on Wednesday.
Calangute medio Aiken Dias put the team ahead in the 25th minute with a power-packed right-footer from outside the penalty box.
On crossing over, Augustias went all out in search of the equaliser, which they managed to get in the 65th minute through Akshay Shirodakar, who dribbled past a host of rival defenders and scored with a neat placement (1-1).
With the match locked 1-1, the tie-breaker had to be resorted to and in the sudden death, Augustias won 14-13.
