Batora Curtorim Veterans defeated Varca Veterans 2-1 to cruise into the semi-finals of All Goa Veterans football tournament organised by United Boys of Batora Veterans at DYSA Ground Curtorim on Wednesday. Joaquin Fernandes opened the account for Batora Curtorim Veterans in the 7th minute. Later in the 20th minute, Varca Veterans was awarded a penalty for a handball for Sebastian Fernandes of Batora Curtorim Veterans which was converted by Charles Rodrigues. Alfred Fernandes scored second goal for Batora Curtorim Veterans in the early minutes of second half. Batora Curtorim Veterans will play Sarzora Veterans in the semi-final on March 12.
Calata Warriors win mixed double badminton tourney at Majorda
MARGAOCia and Josley Dias (Calata Warriors) defeated Xerino and Stacy Rodrigues (The Fire Ball) in the mixed double badminton tournament organised by Young Boys of Pacheco Vaddo Majorda and being played on flood light.In all 18 mixed double pairs took part in the tournament.
