Bhatikar Model High School defeated Damodar High School, Margao by 121 runs ro emerge champs in the Dilip Sardesai inter-school Salcete Taluka U-16 cricket tournament organized by Goa Cricket Association at Sanguem Cricket Academy grounds, on Saturday.
Batting first, Bhatikar Model High school scored 222 for 8 in their allotted 40 overs with Omkar Deshbhandari top scoring with 82 runs. Tushar Kudnekar and Anish Maddolkar contributed with 28 and 30 runs respectively. For Damodar High School, Aman Nayar took 2 while Vihang Nagvenkar, Vishal pattari and Mayang Chari took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Bhatikar Model bowlers dismissed Damodar High School for just 101 runs in 26 overs. Amany Nayar top scored with 44 while Ritish scored 13 runs. For Bhatikar Model High School, Sheel Angle, Rahul Swar, Tushar Kudnekar and HT Ganesh took 2 wickets each while Anish Maddolkar and Kaushal Hattangadi bagged one wicket each.
