Aaron Farias and Ishita Colaso emerged as the standout performers at the Ulhas Jewellers-BPS Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2026, held at the Multipurpose Stadium, Fatorda.
Colaso completed a triple crown, winning the girls' under-15, girls' under-19 and women's singles titles. She defeated Aarna Lotlikar 3-0 in the U-15 final, edged Neeza Kamat 3-2 in the U-19 final and beat Urvi Surlakar 3-0 to clinch the women's title.
Farias produced one of the biggest upsets of the tournament by recovering from 1-3 down to defeat former National Games gold medallist Wesley Do Rosario 4-3 in the men's final. Earlier, he had overcome Chandan Caro 4-3 in the semifinals before defeating him 3-2 to win the boys' under-19 title.
In other finals, Chandan Caro won the boys' under-15 title after defeating Ruhaan Shaikh 3-2, while Yug Prabhu beat Yuvaan Sanke 3-2 to claim the boys' under-13 crown.
Tisha Shaikh defeated Sachi Dessai 3-0 to win the girls' under-13 title, Ashank Dalvi overcame Aarish Shaikh 3-0 in the boys' under-11 final, and Shaurya Dessai edged Anaya Shukla 3-2 to lift the girls' under-11 title.
Ronan Menezes Gama defeated Urvansh Pathak 3-2 to win the boys' under-9 title, while Claire George beat Spruha Kamat 3-0 in the girls' under-9 final.
The tournament concluded with finals across multiple age-group categories at the Fatorda venue.
