Cuncolim MLA Rajan Naik said that discipline, hard work and dedication hold the key to success in sports.
Speaking at the Under 14 cricket coaching camp organized by Cuncolim Premier League (CPL) at Government School play ground, Cuncolim, he called on the youth to draw inspiration from top players and march ahead.
Explaining the advantage of of starting young, Naik said: "At a young age, it is good to train them in cricket.Sports unites all religion and government encourages sports."
Naik assured that he will pursue the case to the Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar to have a good pitch so that children can take maximum advanatage in order to nuture more skills and talents. Naik also complimented former Ranji coaches and player Nitin Kalekar and SAG coach Damodar Redkar for imparting valubale cricket tips to young cricketers. Over 51 cricketers from the surrounding villages attended the camp. Among those who attended the closing ceremony were Venkatesh Prabhudessai, vice president of GCA, Gaurish Fadte, chairman of CPL and Davendra Dessai,ex chairperson of CMC.
