CAP Goa enjoy double delight at National Academic Championship


PANAJI: Come And Play, in association with Mummy's Goa Helping Hands, successfully organised the 7th National Academic Championship at St. Cruz Ground, featuring competitions in the U14 Boys, U17 Boys and U17 Girls categories.

The tournament attracted 14 teams from Goa, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala, providing a competitive platform for young footballers from across the country.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by St. Cruz MLA Rudolfo L. Fernandes, who presented trophies, medals and certificates to the winners and participants. He was joined by Kliban R. Fernandes, Joao Rodrigues and Tushar Bhagat. A

In the U17 Girls final, Portais SC edged past SSCC GFDC Savoiverem 1-0 to lift the title. The U14 Boys final saw CAP Goa emerge champions after prevailing in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw against Maharashtra FC, Pune. In the U17 Boys category, CAP Goa St. Cruz clinched the championship with a narrow 1-0 victory over CAP Goa Marcela.

The tournament was officiated by Domnic Araujo and Tushar Bhagat, ensuring the smooth conduct of all matches.
