Carmona SC open campaign with big win

Carmona scored through a brace from Pramod Salimat and goals by Stanford Fernandes, Alex Rodrigues, Neil D'Cruz and Anthony Braganza. Margao SC scored a late consolation goal as Carmona started their season with the impressive win.
Margao SC took the field with nine players as they were the only players who were registered. Carmona dominated the whole match and were in control from start to finish. They were 1-0 up when Stanford Fernandes got on the end of a free-kick that came his way and smashed it into the net.
The second goal was created by midfielder Neil D'Cruz who assisted Pramod Salimat to score the second in the 22nd minute. Margao SC had a few chances of their own as Nelson Vaz had two good chances but was denied by the Carmona goalkeeper.
However, Carmona went further ahead through Alex Rodrigues who smashed a left-footer late in the first-half as they went into half-time leading 3-0.
Carmona scored early in the second half as Neil D'Cruz scored the fourth before Anthony Braganza and Pramod made it 6-1. Margao SC managed to pull one goal back in the dying minutes as Nelson Vaz scored to make the final score 6-1.
