In the 4th edition of Battle of Minds, All Goa Rapid Chess Tournament, Ritviz Parab of Salcete walked with the championship trophy and prize money of Rs 15,000 by defeating three-time champion Niraj Saripalli.
The annual tournament organised by Rotary Club of Bicholim in association with Goa Chess Association and Bicholim Taluka Chess Association had participation of 130 players from Goa. The tournament played on two days had trophy and cash prizes for first fifteen ranks and trophies in two categories at Goa and Bicholim Taluka level in age groups of under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and above 15 years.
In the inaugural function, Chief Guest Anish Timble, Marketing Manager and strategist encouraged the players to give their best and learn from every single moment. The other dignitaries present on the dais were Rotary Bicholim President Rtn Sudin Nayak, Bicholim Chess Association President Rajan Kadkade, Club Secretary Rtn Amol Sawant and Event Chairman Rtn Sargam Falari.
