Ivana Furtado won the silver medal at the Asian Junior Blitz chess championship and also at the Asian Junior Chess Championship held at Bishkek ,Kyrgyzstan from October 2-11. She defeated Kim Kristina(KAZ), Nandhidhaa PV(IND), Musaeva Shknazi(KGZ) , Mahadian Anousha(IRI) ,Saranya J (IND), Omurbekova Diana (KGZ) and drew with Pranali Dharia(IND), Monnish GK (IND) and Tokhirjonova G (UZB) finishing with 7 and half points along with the champion also with the same points but had lost on tie break.
