Superb half centuries by Manthan Khutkar (89 - 174b, 12x4) and Vishamber Kahlon (55 - 179b, 4x4) helped Goa gain a lead of 130 runs in the first innings against Himachal Pradesh on the second day of the U-25 Col C K Nayudu four-day match played at Alur Cricket Stadium, Bangalore.
Goa resuming from 92-1 in reply to Himachal Pradesh’s first inning score of 193, posted 323 runs in their first innings. Manthan shared two fruitful partnerships, one with Kashyap Bakhle (54 runs) and other with Vishamber Kahlon (42 runs) for the 2nd and 3rd wicket respectively. Later Kahlon and Tunish Sawkar added 61 runs for the 5th wicket.
For Himachal Pradesh, Ritik kumar was the most successful bowler scalping 6 wickets for 77 runs. At the end of the second days play, Himachal Pradesh were 4 without loss in their second innings.
