Cuncolim Union edged CAC Cansaulim 5-3 in a tie-breaker after the teams played out a 1-1 draw in regulation time in the fourth match of the 2nd Mansion House Football Cup 2026 on Wednesday.
Cuncolim made a bright start, taking the lead in the fourth minute through Vinod Velip. Cansaulim responded five minutes later when Aloysius Mesquita converted a penalty to restore parity.
Both sides created chances before the break, but neither could find the decisive touch. Cuncolim's Velip saw an effort thwarted by the advancing goalkeeper, while Mesquita's attempt at the other end was cleared by the Cuncolim defence.
The second half remained tightly contested, with Cansaulim coming closest in the 38th minute when Gavril Barreto fired over the crossbar. With no further goals, the match went straight to a tie-breaker.
Cuncolim kept their composure from the spot, with Frazer Fernandes, Viraj Velip, Ansh Patel, captain Shankar Gaundar and Clifton Fernandes converting their kicks. Derik Fernandes, Melwyn Gama and Mesquita scored for Cansaulim.
Cuncolim Union's Viraj Gaonkar was named Man of the Match and received the award from Sailesh Vaidya.
