Curtorim Gymkhana defeated Shiroda Youth Club 3-2 via the tiebreaker to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the 15th Fatima Cup 2026, organised by Dicarpale Sports Club at Dicarpale Ground on Wednesday.
Both teams created chances in a goalless first half, with Curtorim’s Milagres Fernandes missing an opportunity in the eighth minute, while Shiroda’s Shawn Colaco failed to convert in the 19th minute.
Shiroda threatened again in the 49th minute, but Colaco’s attempt was thwarted by the Curtorim defence. Curtorim’s Floyd Antao also came close with a long-range effort that failed to find the net.
With neither side able to break the deadlock, the match went into a tiebreaker, where Curtorim Gymkhana proved more accurate from the spot to win 3-2.
Johnson Bhogot was named Man of the Match and received the award from Devanand Lal.
