More than 85 players competed in the sixth Daivadnya Carrom Tournament, organised recently at Daivadnya Hall, Ponda, by the Akhil Gomantakiya Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association (AGDBYA) and the Ponda Daivadnya Brahmin Samaj, with support from the Goa Carrom Association.
Retired PWD superintendent engineer Sunil Pandurang Karekar attended the event as the chief guest. The organisers also felicitated Shaurya Prajyot Chodankar for his achievements in cricket.
In the kids' category, Aarush Lotlikar emerged winner, with Shriyan Vernekar finishing runner-up. Alka Chodankar won the women's title, while Shruti Vernekar was runner-up. Shyamrao Raikar won the veterans' category, defeating Guiresh Bandodkar, and Rahul Lotlikar clinched the men's title ahead of Rutvik Nagzarkar.
