Damu Strikers defeated Khodwamol Cricketers by nine wickets to emerge champions of the Kalay Premier League T20 leather-ball cricket tournament organised by Sai Sports & Cultural Club.
In the finals, Khodwamol Cricketers batted first but could score only 65 runs with only Rajnit Khutkar posting a double-figure score of 19. Sanjay Misal took four wickets for 6 runs while Vishal Pingle grabbed two wickets.
In reply, Damu Strikers knocked off the runs in 12 overs with nine wickets in hand as Rohit Khutkar and Vishal Pingle remained unbeaten on 35 and 16 runs respectively. Sudhakar Lambor took the only wicket to fall.
Individual prizes: Man of the final and Man of the series - Sanjay Misal (Damu Strikers), Best batsman - Rohit Khutkar (Damu Strikers), Best bowler - Sudhakar Lambor (Khodwamol Cricketers).
