The students of Dempo Charities Trust’s DCT’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous), Cujira, delivered a stellar performance by securing 5 medals at the recently concluded Goa University Inter-collegiate Taekwondo Championship for Men and Women, at the SAG Multipurpose Hall in Peddem, Mapusa.
In the women's category, Iram Sheikh (FY BBA B) clinched the gold medal in the Under 46 kg weight class. Shraddha Rajan Parab (SY BBA A) secured a bronze medal in the Under 53 kg category, while Ashwini Zalake (FY BCOM C) and Aadra Sangle (FY BBA B) both earned bronze medals in the Under 62 kg weight division. The team was coached by Rahul Naik (PE Teacher). The championship followed the official rules and regulations adopted by the Taekwondo Federation of India.
