FC Goa are set to launch coach education programme in their bid to develop the sport from the grassroots level.
"One of the biggest aspects with regard to football is coaching. The role of a football coach in the career of a player is vital and this makes it even more important to have good coaches to train children. FC Goa has committed itself to promoting Coach Education and enhancing the quality of coaches across Goa and for this purpose, the club will organise and fully sponsor two coaching courses in Goa in February," says a press release by the ISL franchise.
FC Goa will conduct a FIFA Grassroots Leaders Course in mid-February with tentative dates of 13-15 being mentioned in the communiqué.
"This course will aim to enhance the leadership skills of coaches. The club will also host an AIFF D-licence course which has been tentatively planned between the 17th to the 21st of February. Both courses will be free of charge for those who are selected to participate in the programmes," the release adds.
Candidates interested in taking part in either of the courses, have been asked to collect application forms from FC Goa offices in Porvorim or Fatorda. The forms can be submitted via email to
