Feagus Boys Curchorem made short work of DX Boys, Ambaulim with a 7-3 win in All Goa Raatpally Boys 7-a-side football tournament organised by Raatpally Boys at Vadem Ground, Sanguem.
Feagus Boys led 2-1 at halftime. Feagus Boys were well served by former international midfielder Shallum Pires and held the upper hand in the first half. Arron put Feagus Boys into the lead early before Clifford rocked the rival citadel for a 2-0 lead. Down by DX Boys pressed hard and Joyston reduced the margin.
The script continued in the same vein with Feagus Boys storming the rival territory and Arron inflated the tally with a snap-shot. DX Boys fought gallantly and Leslie scored for them soon after resumption and Joyston levelled the scoreline with a stinging shot.
Feagus Boys then went into attacking mode and Pires regained the lead before Kotron made it 5-3. A couple of minutes later, Alvito Pereira added his name on the scoresheet. Presley drove the last nail into the rival coffin at the fag end.
Feagus Boys were awarded a prize of Rs 30,000 while DX Boys bagged a prize of Rs 20,000. Savitree Kavlekar, a social worker, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of guest of honour Fr Orlando.
