FIFA lifts registration ban on Churchill Brothers after furnishing pending payments

FIFA has officially lifted the registration ban on Churchill Brothers FC Goa, following the resolution of a long-standing financial dispute between the club and Senegalese striker Abdoulaye Sane. The decision was made in accordance with FIFA's arbitration process.

In an official statement released earlier today, FIFA acknowledged the Creditor has successfully received the outstanding amounts owed to them by Churchill Brothers FC Goa. The statement also highlighted that the Creditor has been satisfied with the payments made by the club, effectively bringing the dispute to a close.

The correspondence also highlighted that, FIFA has lifted the registration ban that had been imposed on Churchill Brothers FC Goa during the course of the dispute.

The club sources said there was a dispute over the salary since the striker was injured, missed games, and there was even a possibility of the striker making a move.

The ban had prevented the club from registering new players. The club can now once again participate in the registration of players ahead of the upcoming season.
