Flame of Unity marks golden milestone

MARGAO: The Flame of Unity Sports Club, Per-Seraulim, is set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years of contribution to sports, unity and community life.

Established in 1976 with nearly 100 members, the club has grown steadily over the past five decades and now has more than 250 members. Its journey has been driven by the active involvement of members who have kept alive the spirit of unity, commitment, zeal and community service.

As part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, the club will organise the 24th All Goa Veterans Football Tournament, beginning September 16. The tournament will feature 16 top teams from across Goa.

A Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated on October 2 at 8 a.m. at Our Lady of Amparo Chapel, followed by fellowship.

The main Golden Jubilee celebration will be held on Saturday, October 3, at 6 p.m. at Mabai Ground. It will be followed by a lottery draw and get-together.
