Fr Agnel Sports Club Paroda produced an impressive performance to defeat Chandor 3-1 and book their place in the semi-finals of the Rising Cup 2026 football tournament at the Government School Playground, Cuncolim.
Paroda made a sensational start, with Joel Furtado finding the back of the net in the very first minute to give his side an early advantage.
Chandor fought back and restored parity in the 16th minute through Kenzen D’Costa, making it 1-1.
However, Paroda regained the lead in the 24th minute when Godwin Fernandes scored to put his team ahead 2-1 at half-time.
Paroda continued to dictate terms after the break, and Joel Furtado completed his brace with another goal in the 52nd minute to seal a convincing 3-1 victory for Fr Agnel SC Paroda.
Chandor goalkeeper Agnelo Peixeto was adjudged the man of the match.
With this win, Paroda will face Shiroda Youth Club on November 4.
Meanwhile, the first semifinal will be played on November 3, between Cuncolim Union and Uguem Sports Club.
On Sunday, Shiroda Youth Club booked their place in the semifinals after edging past Parish Youth Nuvem by a narrow 1-0 margin.
Jonathan Vaz scored the decisive goal in the seventh minute, giving Shiroda an early lead that they managed to protect until the final whistle.
