Tridents CC registered a convincing 34-run victory over Margao Hurricanes in Match No. 14 of the league stage of the Friendship Shield 2025, played at the SK ground.
Margao Hurricanes won the toss and opted to field first. Tridents CC capitalised well on the opportunity to bat, posting a competitive total of 183/8 in 20 overs. The innings was anchored by Sahil Bukkam, who played a brilliant knock of 77 runs, well supported by Sudin Redkar, who contributed 27 runs. Despite the high total, Margao Hurricanes’ Deepak stood out with the ball, claiming impressive figures of 5/24.
In response, Margao Hurricanes managed to score 149 in 19.2 overs, falling short by 34 runs. Ramnath Gaonkar (39) and Kishan Borcar (29) were the key contributors with the bat. However, Tridents CC’s bowlers maintained pressure throughout the innings. Siddhant Kunde led the bowling attack with 3/20, while Sudin Redkar (2/18) and Ashay Ambe (2/34) provided vital breakthroughs.
With this win, Tridents CC strengthened their position in the league stage.
Sahil Bukkam bagged the Shin player of the match award at the hands of Ubed Khan. Siddhant Kunde got Cafe 108 Game Changer of the match.
