The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) celebrated International Yoga Day in Porvorim on Sunday morning with an enthusiastic participation from cricketers, officials and members of the association.
The yoga session was conducted by renowned yoga instructor Sharad Chopdekar from Vasco, who guided participants through a series of asanas, breathing exercises and meditation techniques aimed at enhancing physical fitness, flexibility, mental focus and overall well-being.
Several cricketers actively took part in the session, reaffirming the importance of yoga as an integral part of an athlete’s training routine. The event highlighted the role of yoga in improving strength, balance, concentration and recovery, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle.
GCA General Secretary Tulsidas Shetye was present on the occasion and appreciated the enthusiastic response from the participants.
