The Goa Football Association (GFA) on Friday celebrated Women’s Football Day as part of International Women’s Day at four venues - Duler Stadium in Mapusa, Navelim Church Ground, Rosary High School, Dona Paula and Chicalim - involving girls and women to celebrate womanhood.
Various activities were held including a quiz contest on football at Mary Immaculate Girls High School and Our Lady of Rosary High School, Dona Paula. Girls and women were taken to the football pitch to mark the annual day under the banner of GFA’s Women’s Committee at various venues across Goa. They were given a chance to kick a ball with small side games and tie-breaker contests.
