PANAJI
The Goa contingent won 13 medals at the recently concluded the 34th West Zone Athletic Championship held at Jodhpur Rajasthan.
The Goa Athletics Association under the leadership of President Narendra Sawaikar (Ex-MP) sent a team that competed in U-14 U-16, U-18 and U-20 age categories in boys and girls categories.
The team won 4 gold, 4 silver & 5 bronze medals. The medal Winners are as below.
Gold Medal: Chandan Gosh (Triathlon U-14 boys), Siddesh Morajkar( 110 mtrs Hurdles U-20 boys), Ayaan Soares (800 mtrs U-20 girls)
Palak Lolyekar, Rucha Dalvi, Doris Govis, Shweta Castalin (4x100mtrs Relay U-20 girls)
Silver Medals: Vishal Bhutte (800 mtrs U-20 boys), Siya Naik (800 mtrs Run U- 20 girls), Vandana Patel (3000 mtrs U-20 girls), Vishal Bhutte (1500 mtrs U-20 boys)
Bronze Medals: Aline Pixeto (60 mtr Run U-14 girls), Chandan Gosh (60 mtrs U-14 boys), Agneesh Prabhudesai (100 mtr Run U-20 boys), Ayaan Soares (1500mtr Run U-20 girl), Siddesh Morajkar (400mtr Hurdles U-20 boys)
The team was accompanied by SAG coaches Digambar Narvekar and Snehal Pawar along with managers Sonali Shetyekar and Gangaram Lambor.
