Hosts Goa registered their first win after two consecutive defeats in the Senior Women’s One-day cricket League Elite 'B' group match played at MCC grounds, Margao on Saturday.
Shikha Pandey’s spell of 5-21 first bundled out Bengal in just 96 runs in 39 overs. Goa achieved the required target in the 35th over with six wickets in hand. Sunanda Yetrekar and Shikha Pandey added an unbeaten stand of 54 runs to make Goa’s victory more easy.
At Panjim Gymkhana grounds, Delhi also registered their first win of the tournament with a five-wicket win over Hyderabad. Maharashtra still lead the table with 12 points from 3 matches followed by Hyderabad with 8 points from three equal number of matches. Goa and Delhi played three matches each and collected four points while Bengal has four points from the same number of ties.
