Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat sqay martial art inter state championship (Goa and Jharkhand) organised by Sqay Federation of India in association with Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs and Sports Authority of Goa at PJN Indoor Stadium, Fatorda concluded recently.
In the championship, there were 33 players from each State across genders and weight categories participating. Goa was undoubtedly the better of the two States in the four-day championship, with 30 of their 33 players winning gold, with the other three won by Jharkhand. The Champion of Champions (Grand Champion) in boys category was Sohail Shaikh and in girls category, Rishona Sequeira, both from Goa.
The joint team of 33 players (33 gold medallists) of Goa and Jharkhand will be given 15 days special training for the onward competition of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
