Goa’s Under-23 team is moving towards victory against Bihar in the Colonel C.K. Nayudu Trophy Elite cricket tournament. After taking a 91-run first-innings lead, Goa reached 201 for 9 in its second innings. Dishank Misquin remained unbeaten on 97, with last man Rahul Vishwakarma (0) at the crease. Goa’s overall lead stood at 292 runs. The match is being played at the Rajgir International Cricket Stadium in Rajgir.
Resuming their first innings at 194 for 9, Bihar were bowled out for 204. Rahul Vishwakarma dismissed Ayush Anand (51) to bring Bihar’s innings to an end.
Goa had slumped to 52 for 4 in its second innings before Dishank Misquin and captain Aryan Narvekar (39) stitched together a 79-run partnership to steady the innings. After Narvekar’s dismissal, the lower-order batters offered little resistance.
Top-order batter Dishank registered his second consecutive half-century of the match. Having scored 62 in the first innings, he remained unbeaten on 97 at stumps, hitting 11 fours and one six. He will be looking to complete his century on the fourth day, after which Goa’s bowlers will aim to dismiss Bihar cheaply in the second innings and secure victory.
