The Goa senior women's team suffered a five-wicket defeat against Baroda senior women in a T20 senior women's practice match organised by the Baroda Cricket Association on Sunday at B.C.A. stadium 'B' Baroda.
After winning the toss, Baroda opted to bowl first. Goa scored 96 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Baroda chased down the target in 17.1 overs, losing five wickets.
For Goa, Shreya Parab was the top scorer with 22 runs off 39 balls. Tejaswini Durgad and Poorva Bhaidkar scored 15 runs each, while Vinavi Gurav contributed 12. Tanvir Sheikh took two wickets for Baroda.
In Baroda's chase, Amita Joseph steadied the innings with 36 runs off 48 balls. Meshvi Pokar scored 24 off 36 balls, while Atoshi Banerjee made 19 off 28 balls. For Goa, Poorva Bhaidkar was the leading bowler, taking 4 wickets for 15 runs in her four overs.
