Goan Football Club registered a 4-0 win over newly promoted Velsao Sports and Cultural Club in the Goa Professional League sixth round match organized by GFA and played at Duler Ground on Wednesday.

Goan FC coach Clifford Miranda was without the services of his four first choice players -- Liston Colaco, Princeton Rebello, Lalawmpuia and Sarineo Fernandes while Velsao SCC in-charge Eban Meesquita played almost the same squad that had beaten Panjim Footballers 5-1 margin in their fifth round match.

With this win, Goan FC tops the table with 17 points while Velsao SCC continue to languish in the lower half of the league table with four points.

In a counter attack move, Kapil Hoble sent a diagonal pass the Kingslee, who latched a power-packed right footer, which crashed into the far corner of the goal to make it 1-0. Just five minutes into the second half, the young Gaurs doubled their lead when medio Imran Khan sent a neat through pass to

subsitute Aaren D’Silva, who brilliantly curled the ball past the Velsao keeper to make

it 2-0.

Aaren D’Silva, who had a bad match against Salgaocar FC a few days back, registered his brace as he nodded the ball into the goal off a cross from Kapil Hoble to make it 3-0. The young Gaurs’ hunger for goals did not end

and in the 70th minute Kapil Hoble, who was

instrumental in the earlier two goals, added his name to the scorers list as he slammed

the ball into the far corner of the goal to make it 4-0.
