Goan ace shuttler Anura Prabhu Desai was part of the Railways team that won a silver medal at the Central Zone inter-State badminton championship that was held from Oct 7-10. Anura was the only Railways shuttler to bag a win in the final team event in the women’s singles match as she beat Sai Uttejitha Rao 21-8, 21-15.
In the women’s doubles category, Anura and Riya Mookeerjee won again the pair of Karma and Barma Meena 21-10 21-14, to win the
gold.
