Goan Warriors Football Club registered a narrow 1-0 win over Laxmi Prasad Sports Club in the GFA U-14 Girls League at Duler stadium on Wednesday.
The teams began the match on an attacking note. Goan Warriors were given an early chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty in the 29th minute. Rutika Arolkar stepped up and coolly netted the ball. Goan Warriors' Asma Bandodkar was adjudged the Player of the Match for her brilliant performance in the match.
Goa University women's cricket trials on Feb 24
Goa University will conduct a selection trial for the women's cricket team on Friday, February 24 at 2.30 pm. Students interested in attending the trials may report at the cricket nets, Don Bosco College, Panaji along with their college identity card, Aadhar card, birth certificate and a playing kit.
The selected team will play in the West Zone Inter University Cricket Championship for Women to be held from March 10-18 at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) - Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
