Goa’s young badminton player Anjana Kumari has been invited for a trial to represent the country at the International School Sports Federation’s biennial World School Championship, to be held in Pune from April 19 to 25. A selection trial has been organised to select SGFI’s India school team. The trial is scheduled to be held in Agra, April 1 and 2.
Anjana Kumari, who is the state No. 1 player in women’s and under-19 categories, is currently 33rd-ranked in all-India senior category. She is a XIIth Std. student of Deepvihar HSS, Vasco. She will be representing Goa at the national selection trials for the SGFI Indian team probables. Anjana had represented Goa school team this year at SGFI championship and had reached the quarter-finals.
