The final was a keenly contested match and both the teams had a fair share of the possession. The all important goal came in the first session when a well measured cross by a Guardian Angel player was deflected into their own net by a Don Bosco defender, giving the keeper no chance. In the under-17 category, Dempo Higher Secondary School defeated Fr. Agnel Higher Secondary School 3-1 via the tiebreaker after both the teams failed to score any goals during regulation time. Mr. Francisco Silveira, MLA, St. Andre constituency, was the chief guest and Fr. Fredrick Rodrigues, Principal, Fr. Agnel College, was the guest of honour and gave away the prizes. Also present were Francisca Rodrigues, the wife of late Meccabeus Rodrigues; Fr. Andrew Silveira, Principal of Fr. Agnel HSS, Pilar and Secretary, Fr. Agnel Youth Centre; Fr. Richard Crasto, Headmaster, Fr. Agnel High School, Pilar. Sarpanch of Agassaim, Xavier Gracias and Sarpanch of Goa Velha, Maria Mendes, were also present.
