Mahila Nutan bag double crown

Mahila Nutan High School, Margao raised the level of their game when it mattered the most as they bagged the double crown in the Salcete Taluka U-14 and U-17 girls inter-school chess tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Nehru Stadium Conference hall, Fatorda .
In the U-14 category, Mahila Nutan bagged 14 points. Fatima Convent High School, Margao secured second spot with 12.5 points. Maria Bambina Convent High School, Cuncolim and Vidya Vikas Academy bagged third and fourth place respectively with 12 points.
In the U-17 group, Mahila Nutan HS took the top honours with 16 points, followed by Manovikas with 12.5 points. Vidya Vikas Academy and Fatima
Convent School took third and fourth place respectively with 12.5 and
12 points each.
Mahila Nutan HS was represented by Aditi Prabhugaonkar, Pranali
Desai, Sakshi Naik Gaonkar, Advesha Naik, Shanvi Naik Gaonkar,
Chinmayee Tari, Sejal Lotlikar, Sakshi Bandodkar, Advika Gaonkar and
Niti Kamat. Swapnil Hoble was the arbiter for the tournament.
