Top seed Ishaan Colaso, Ashank Dalvi (2), Aarish Shaikh (3) and Shreysht Rane (5) entered the U11 boys’ semi-finals on an eventful opening day of the Late Manohar Sawkar State Table Tennis Championship 2025, held at the Multipurpose Stadium, Fatorda.
Organized by the Goa Table Tennis Association in aegis with the Sports Authority of Goa, the day saw dominant performances from the leading contenders.
Ishaan first overcame Shiv Chopdekar 3-0, before repeating another 3-0 victory against Aveer Shah in the quarterfinals. Shreysht advanced with a strong 3-0 win over Ronan Menezes Gama, and later upset Kedar Nair, the fourth seed, 3-2 in a gripping quarterfinal encounter.
Third seed Aarish began in ruthless fashion, beating Vivaan Salgaonkar 3-0, and carried that form into the quarters with another 3-0 result against Kavin Hasija.
Second seed Ashank also enjoyed a smooth passage to the last four, notching a 3-0 win over Kris Silveira in the Round of 16, followed by a composed 3-0 victory against Prem Chopdekar in the quarterfinals.
Kabir Dixit, Ved Sanvordekar, Vardhan Verlekar and Rayansh Sawant were the other players who went down in the round of 16.
