Ishaan Colaso, Ashank Dalvi, Shaurya Desai, Aarna Walavalkar, Chandan Caro, and Ruhaan Shaikh stormed into their respective finals at the DBO“Edcon All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, being held at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim.
In the U11 Boys semifinals, top seed Ishaan Colaso was in sublime touch, defeating Aarish Shaikh 3-0, while Ashank Dalvi edged past Kedar Nair 3-2 in a nail-biting contest to earn his place in the title round. In the U11 Girls event, top seed Shaurya Desai continued her flawless run with a 3-0 victory over Sanaz Shaikh, while Aarna Walavalkar blanked Rheann Menezes Gama 3-0 to set up an exciting final clash.
Organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, in aegis with the Goa Table Tennis Association and supported by Edcon Developers, the tournament witnessed electrifying rallies and some close finishes.
In the U17 Boys category, top seed Chandan Caro displayed his attacking prowess to beat Vedant Wagle 3-1 in a hard-fought semifinal, while Ruhaan Shaikh staged a remarkable comeback from two games down to overcome Dhruva Kamat 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.
Earlier in the day, Radha Desai, Tvisha Kotkar, Tasha Mascarenhas, and Claire George bowed out in the U11 Girls quarterfinals, while Bhaavan Srivastava, Chinmay Bhakare, Yug Prabhu, and Yuvaan Sanke exited in the U17 Boys quarters.
