Top seed Ishaan Colaso will take on second seed Ashank Dalvi in the Boys U11 final, while in the girls’ section, Tisha Shaikh (3) will face Aarna Lotlikar (2) in the Girls U13 final, and Ishita Colaso (1) will clash with Aarna Lotlikar (2) in the Girls U15 final of the 7th Mangeshi All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, currently underway at V.D. & S.V. Wagle High School.
In the U11 Boys semis, Ishaan eased past Shreyst Rane 3-0 after defeating Kabir Dixit 3-0 in the quarters, while Ashank registered back-to-back straight-game wins over Kavin Hasija and Aarish Shaikh to reach the final.
The Girls U13 semifinals saw Tisha Shaikh upset top seed Sachi Dessai 3-1, while Aarna Lotlikar edged past joint top seed Aayushi Amonkar in a nail-biting 3-2 thriller. In the U15 Girls category, Ishita Colaso booked her final spot with dominant 3-0 wins over Inara Dsouza in the quarters and Aayushi Amonkar in the semis.
On the other side, Aarna Lotlikar came through two close matches, first ousting Sachi Dessai 3-0 and then surviving a tight semifinal against Kavya Khalap, in a 3-2 win.
Organised by the Mangirish Vidyadayini Samstha in association with the Wagle High School Diamond Jubilee Celebration Committee, and in aegis with the Goa Table Tennis Association, the tournament is a key highlight of the school’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
