MARGAO: Mashem Cricket Club has elected its new managing committee for the 2026-28 term at its general body meeting held recently, with members unanimously reposing their faith in Datta Lolayekar as president and Sudesh Prabhudessai as secretary.
The newly elected committee also comprises Sanjay Naik (Vice President), Sujal Lolayekar (Treasurer), Minu Fernandes (Joint Secretary), Anup Naik (Cultural Secretary), Ravish Satarkar (Sports Secretary), while Sanjay Pagi, Vishal Lolayekar, Pratik Satarkar and Ramesh Satarkar have been elected as committee members.
Speaking after his election, secretary Sudesh Prabhudessai said the club is preparing to celebrate its 60th anniversary with a series of sporting events. As part of the celebrations, Mashem Cricket Club plans to organise a veterans' cricket tournament, along with badminton and volleyball tournaments for participants from across Canacona taluka.
