MCL 11 T20: Warriors, Tigers post wins

MCC Warriors and MCC Tigers notched up wins in the MCL 11 T20 tournament on Sunday at the MCC Ground.
In the first match, MCC Warriors defeated MCC Stallions by five wickets with a steady and controlled chase. The Stallions, sent in to bat, were bowled out for 144 in 17.2 overs despite promising starts from their top order. Warriors skipper Govind Lotlikar led from the front with a match-winning 38, guiding his side to victory in 18.5 overs. His all-round effort earned him the Man of the Match award.
The afternoon fixture produced a thriller as MCC Tigers edged out MCC Knights by two wickets. Chasing 162, the Tigers kept their composure in the closing stages, completing the chase in 18.4 overs. Key contributions came from Ambey Parwatkar, Rajaram Kundaikar and skipper Vaibhav Naik, each scoring 35.
Earlier, MCC Knights posted 161 for 9 in their 20 overs, with Smit Dalvi (38), captain Pranav Biche (30) and Kapil Borker (27) anchoring the innings. The Tigers’ bowlers, spearheaded by Sanat Kamat and Rajaram Kundaikar, maintained pressure throughout. Kundaikar’s all-round showing — two wickets and a crucial 35 — earned him the Man of the Match award.
