MES College defeated Mandre College in the men's finals of the 1st State Inter College Futsal Championship with a scoreline of 5-3
Stalen Lucas of MES was excellent throughout the tournament and scored a brace in the final. Raul Chawan also scored two goals, whereas Ronaldo Rodrigues netted one for the winners. Mandre College scored through Shreyash, who found the net twice, and another goal was scored by Swapanil Aradkar.
In the women's category, Rosary College won 3-2 against St Xavier's College. Rhea Pires scored a hat-trick for the winners, whereas Sushmita and Vidhya were the goal scorers for St Xavier's. The semifinalists of the tournament were: Caculo College and Rosary College in the men's category, and CES College and Dhempe College in the women's category. Twenty-five teams participated in the men's category and 14 teams in the women's category.
Individual prizes: Best Player (Men) - Stalen Lucas of MES College, Best Player (Women) - Rhea Pires of Rosary College.
