Madhya Pradesh steamrolled Rajasthan 8-0 to begin their campaign on a high in the Group B opener of the West Zone Sub Junior National football championship for boys at Duler on Monday.
MP began their goal-deluge only by the 25th minute with their captain, Suresh Kumar finding the back of the nylons. On the same minute, Chandra Mohan struck home from the left wing. On the 29th minute, Vijender Kumar made it 3-0. The score stayed the same at the breather.
Post resumption, MP created havoc at will in the backline of a wilting Rajasthan outfit.
Chandra Kumar scored the fourth and fifth goal for his team and in the process completed his hat-trick. Aman Kathole scored the sixth goal, with Vijender coming to party again with the seventh bulging into the nets while Suraj Kumar scored the eighth goal from a 20-yard rasping strike to round off a memorable 8-0 win in favour of MP. Prathan Kathole's penalty miss was a rare goal-scoring opportunity that was missed by eventual winners. '
