Myanmar will play India at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda on November 14 at 8 pm. The visiting team had a strenuous training session at Utorda ground, on Saturday evening.
Ahead of the match, Myanmar coach Gerd Zeise said that the team needs to concentrate on their strengths to give a tough fight to the host team. "We know they (India) are a good side. We have to concentrate on our strengths and tasks, and if we can execute them well it will be a challenging match," he told The Goan.
"The Indian team is a very settled team and all their players are at their peak. So it's a completely different challenge, especially here in India. But what changed for us is internally - the discipline, the culture and how the team stuck together, the characters that we have picked,"
he said.
Myanmar are currently third in Group A of third of final round of qualifying for United Arab Emirates 2019. With India already assured qualification, the race for the second berth is now set to be an outright duel between Myanmar and Kyrgyzstan, barring a remarkable revival from bottom place Macau, who currently have no points from four matches.
