MARGAO: Navelim Sporting Club secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Guirdolim Club to advance to the semi-finals of the 1st Fernando Abranches Memorial Trophy 2025. The thrilling encounter took place at the Verna Panchayat Ground, with the tournament being organized by the United Club of Verna.
Navelim set the tone early in the match, with Ronaldo Pereira opening the scoring in the 12th minute with a well-placed finish. The second half saw Navelim step up their aggression, with star forward Noah Luis delivering a sensational performance. Luis netted two quick goals, extending their lead further. Pereira completed his brace with a clinical strike, assisted by Luis, giving Navelim an unassailable 4-0 advantage.
Noah Luis was named the Star of the Match for his standout performance, with the award presented by United Club of Verna’s Joint Treasurer, Gabriel Rodrigues.
