MARGAO: Nerul United prevailed over Sai Avatar Anjuna 5-4 via tie-breaker to move into the finals of Late Musa Ali Aga football tournament organised by Eagle SC at Sankhali Municipal ground on Wednesday. Both teams started the match on a cautious note and once they struck the rhythm they called the shots. Nerul United had a chance to surge ahead but Rajat Chopdekar’s try found the side netting in the early moments of the game. At the other hand, Sai Avatar came close to breaking the deadlock when Rohan Kambli’s left-footed drive hit the cross bar much to the dismay of Sai Avatar supporters. Post-resumption, both the teams pressed hard for the elusive match-winner. In the tie-breaker, Rajat Chopdekar, Ryan Pereria, Melvin Lobo, Anthony Fernandes and Yeshwant More netted for Nerul United. Rohan, Akshay, Vinayak and Dinesh scored for Sai Avatar.
