PANAJI: The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) announced that Vinod (Balu) Phadke has been nominated as GCA’s representative for the BCCI Annual General Body Meeting (AGM), scheduled to be held in Mumbai on 18 September.
GCA President Mahesh Dessai, Secretary Tulshidas Shetye, Treasurer Abdul Majid and the entire Managing Committee congratulated Phadke on his nomination and extended their best wishes to him.
GCA President and former Ranji player Mahesh Dessai said: “Vinod Phadke has made a significant contribution to the Goa Cricket Association and to the development of cricket in our state. His experience, dedication and long association with GCA make him a strong representative for Goa at the BCCI AGM. We are confident that he will put forward the interests of Goa cricket effectively and carry out this responsibility with the same commitment he has always shown. On behalf of the entire GCA, I congratulate Balu and wish him the very best.
