FC Goa head coach Zico was a furious man at the end of the drawn encounter with FC Pune City. The Brazilian was bemused by the way the standard of refereeing had dipped beyond acceptable limits in Friday's home match.

Pointing out to the foul committed by Pune's Didier Zakora on FC Goa midfelder Leo Moura, Zico said the referee made a blunder in not booking the Pune player. "We have been at the receiving end of some ordinary refereeing in this ISL," said Zico during the post-match conference.

"Several Pune players needed to be cautioned but it did not happen today and time and again my team has been the victim of some poor refereeing," lamented Zico, blaming bad refereeing for affecting his team's performance.

Speaking about the players, Zico said he was happy with the way the team played. "Players did everything possible against Pune in their quest for victory. Overall we had a good game. We tried our best to gain three points," he added.

On the missed chances, Zico said luck played its part in denying Goa clear chances in the first 20 minutes.

Speaking on the draw, Pune City coach David Platt said: "Goa were a strong team and we had a specific stratgey to scuttle the flow of movement down the flanks but some how it didn't click in the opening session."

Platt added that he was happy with the draw as he came with the intention to win .When asked about the comment on his player's foul on FC Goa players, Platt said: "I cannot comment on the incident as I did not see what exactly happened on the pitch."

Scorer Lyngdoh said: "I am glad I scored on receiving a lob from the flank." He further added his team cut down the pace due to heat factor and waited for counter attacks in the second half against Goa.
