Pope John XXIII High School, Quepem thrashed Government High School Ambaulim 5-0 to emerge champions in the U-14 Boys Quepem Taluka Subroto Mukherjee football tournament, organised by DSYA, at Panchayat ground, Tilamol.

Prefen Rebello scored a brace while Selwyn Fernandes, Reinford D’Costa and Adriano Gomes scored a goal each for the winners. The team advanced to the South District football

tournament.
