Aashna S Ahmed studying in Std V of Presentation Convent High School, Margao was recently awarded the Most Disciplined Football Player at the Mission XI Million football promotion event organized by the FIFA U17 World Cup committee at Margao. She was accompanied by Teacher Pearl and Teacher Deepali to represent the school. Aashna impressed the scouts with her skills and was one among a thousand participants from across various schools in South Goa. She was rewarded with 5 VIP passes for next year's 2017 U-17 World Cup to be held in India and also received a signed ball from India U-17 World Cup coach Nicolai Adam and captain of India U17 World Cup squad, Suresh Singh Wangjam. She was also recognized as the Best Participating Player from Presentation Convent High School.
Coming from a family of football enthusiasts, her family was awarded Best Supporting Family. Her father Shakil Ahmed, an avid football fan, has composed an anthem in Konkani and Hindi in support of FC Goa which will be released soon.
